SuperChoice Financial Planning – Frequently Asked Questions
Financial planning is a structured process that involves setting personal financial goals and creating a tailored strategy to achieve them. It encompasses areas such as superannuation, retirement planning, investments, insurance, tax strategies, and estate planning. A solid financial plan helps you make informed decisions, minimise risks, and build long-term wealth with clarity and confidence. Whether you are just starting your financial journey or nearing retirement, professional financial advice ensures you stay on track and in control.
Yes. At SuperChoice Financial Planning, you will work directly with Deepak Mehra, Senior Financial Planner and Principal. I personally oversee every aspect of your financial strategy, from the initial consultation to plan implementation and ongoing reviews. You won’t be handed off to junior staff. I pride myself on offering consistent, relationship-driven service tailored to your unique needs.
Your initial consultation is completely free and obligation-free. We will have a relaxed discussion about your financial goals — whether it is about retirement planning, growing investments, managing superannuation, or protecting your family’s future. If you wish to proceed, I will provide a clear scope of advice, a pre-engagement letter, and a transparent fee structure. You can also review my Financial Services Guide (FSG) for more information before deciding.
I provide comprehensive financial planning services, including:
• Superannuation advice and rollover strategies
• Retirement income planning and transition-to-retirement (TTR) strategies
• Investment portfolio construction and review
• Personal insurance (life, TPD, trauma, and income protection)
• Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) advice and compliance
• Budgeting, cash flow management, and debt reduction strategies
• Centrelink and aged care advice
Each financial plan is tailored to your personal goals, life stage, and financial circumstances.
The cost of financial advice depends on the scope and complexity of your needs. At SuperChoice Financial Planning, I offer flexible fee structures — including flat fees, asset-based fees, or a combination of both, tailored to your situation.
All initial advice fees are outlined in a pre-engagement letter before we begin. If you decide to proceed, a full breakdown, including any ongoing advice fees and any insurance commissions (if applicable) will be clearly outlined in your Statement of Advice (SOA).
If you choose to receive ongoing support, a separate Ongoing Service Agreement (OGS) will be provided. This agreement is reviewed and renewed annually, with all fees clearly disclosed so you stay fully informed and in control.
For full details, please refer to our Financial Services Guide (FSG).
There are no hidden charges, and all costs are communicated before you commit.
I work with a wide range of clients across Australia, including:
• Busy professionals seeking wealth-building strategies
• Business owners managing risk and succession
• Families planning their financial future
• Retirees navigating superannuation and income streams
If you are looking for a proactive, relationship-focused adviser who understands your financial goals and life priorities I will be honoured to help.
